Artist Background
Marianne B.A.L's musical journey began in her early childhood when her passion for music was ignited. Through numerous performances, she gained valuable stage experience, which became the foundation of her artistic journey.
At 17, Marianne began songwriting and received numerous awards for her singing abilities in multiple school projects.
After moving to the Netherlands and starting a family, Marianne temporarily put her music career on hold. Despite significant challenges, including her son's neurodegenerative disease, Marianne was not discouraged.
She returned to Austria, where she set up her own home studio and produced her music independently with determination and training from Dr. Isobel Anderson's Home Recording Academy.

The album "A Blast From The Past" is more than a collection of songs. It is a testament to Marianne B.A.L's growth. The songs span four years and reflect the emotional chaos of that time. From intense anger in "Mr. Busy" to deep moments of emptiness in "Once Again" and "Send Me An Angel." The collaboration "The Pity Song" was awarded prizes at national and international school projects.
Marianne B.A.L's journey took her from Austria to the Netherlands, through highs and lows.
About five years ago, she rekindled her love for music. With her final project at the Home Recording Academy, a reinterpretation of "Van Diemen's Land," she returned to her roots.
The album reflects two years of hard work and artistic growth. "A Blast From The Past" is not a search for perfection but an honest testimony of being overwhelmed, joy, uncertainty, and certainty.
